Hello everyone
Here are the adventures of Les Petits Plus in recent weeks… 🌟 We have started our new theme: cinema! 🎬 The children are learning about the origins of cinema, its history, how a film is made, and the vocabulary around the subject. To top it all off, everyone will have the opportunity to attend a screening on April 4th: the older children at the Comoedia cinema, and the younger ones at the school. Mime games, thaumatrope creation, … and many other discoveries to come!
Spring 🌷
We took advantage of the good weather to do some gardening and talk about this beautiful season of renewal. After working on the life cycle of a plant and remembering their needs, the children spent time in the garden to plant new perennials, observe the daffodils, tulips, and pansies that are now in bloom, and especially to find earthworms! Thank you to the parent volunteers for their help during these gardening workshops. On the occasion of the outing to the park, four workshops were organized for the children. They used all their senses to observe, listen to, and smell the elements of nature. The treasure hunt allowed them to focus all their attention on what surrounds us. The creation of magic wands made of natural elements collected. The mural, drawn and painted with the elements found in the park; and finally, the colorful spring greeting cards (now suspended from a tree), decorated by the children to share the light of this new season!
Creative workshops 🎨
The children also painted spring murals to beautify the school and created their own gardens during several cutting and pasting workshops. Everyone selected images and then arranged and glued them onto a sheet to illustrate their ideal garden in the form of a painting.
Imaginary journeys 🌎
We also had the chance to take two beautiful imaginary journeys; we discovered Cameroon and Tanzania.
Pancake tasting 🥞
No need for excuses to enjoy some warm little pancakes…! After preparing the batter, a small stand was set up in the classrooms and the children were able to taste the pancakes.
Sports/Motor Skills ⚽️
With the beautiful weather, sports sessions are resuming outdoors to everyone’s delight! Thank you to the parent volunteers for accompanying us for a soccer session!
