We want to highlight the importance of naps for our children, especially on school days. The school rhythm is quite different from home life, and naps are essential for their development and balance.
After a morning full of learning and interactions, their bodies and minds need a moment to rest. This allows them to absorb new knowledge and regain the energy needed for the afternoon. Insufficient sleep can lead to reduced concentration, increased irritability, and difficulty participating in activities.
Encourage your child to recognize signs of fatigue and to express their need for rest. This helps them better understand their body and adopt good habits for their well-being.
Therefore, we encourage you to support this habit at school by ensuring your child has an appropriate sleep rhythm, both at home and in class. Good rest is the key to effective learning and harmonious development.
Class Life in May: The Solar System and More! âïžđȘ
Class life continued smoothly, accompanied by our new theme: the solar system. Discussions, documentaries, magazines, books, songs, and crafts were all part of making these new discoveries come alive.
This theme was brought to life by the children with the creation of paper-mùché planets! Hands-on with glue and paint provided a total sensory exploration. The children also used the toothbrush technique to paint our galaxy and discovered the unique properties of filter paper to create colorful planets.
Sports Activities and Outdoor Discoveries đ€žââïžđââïžđ§
Sports days continue, despite fluctuating weather. Motor skill courses, agility exercises, throwing and catching balls, and group games are all on the agenda. Thanks to these activities, the children show great enthusiasm and excellent development in their gross motor skills since the beginning of the year.
Spring always brings us beautiful observations, such as the evolution of insects, buds, and leaves. We discovered a local park during a memorable picnic, followed by free play in the playground area. This outing was a great success; thank you to the accompanying parents, we can’t wait to do it again!
Travels and Celebrations â€ïž
The children also got to travel a bit further, as we had the honor of welcoming parents who shared cultural discoveries, transporting us to distant lands. Thank you for these wonderful adventures and delicious tastings!
Finally, May ended beautifully with the celebration of mothers in honor of Mother’s Day. Thank you to all for your availability and participation, which made this moment so special!
