Autumn is here!
The leaves are changing colour, the light is getting softer… and everyone is observing, feeling, and creating around this beautiful season. Here are the highlights from the past month.
đ A Journey of Emotions and Senses
We continued our work on emotions through workshops rich in physical and artistic activities. Participants explored their bodies, feelings, and expressions through movement, colours, and music.
Every activity is an invitation to listen to what is happening inside, and to transform it into a gesture, a word, or a colour.
Sensory exploration continued with modelling and the making of scented, coloured, and textured dough (lavender, orange, and pine). Collective autumn land art creations were made, and we practiced making apple and leaf prints.
Some of the works were exhibited during a moment of conviviality and exchange. A big thank you for participating in this warm gathering. Your presence is precious!
đïž Growing with the Peace Table
A new space for re-centering and soothing was discovered: the Peace Table. This special table offers a moment of calm and solitude to regulate emotions.
Drawing, breathing, and re-centering activities are offered there to help identify, express, and regulate emotions. This individual time also helps to understand that peace is first built within oneself: learning to calm down, to listen to oneself, and then to reconnect with others in serenity. Doves, a sign of peace, were also decorated.
đł Nature Outing: Discovering Autumn
The oldest participants had their first outing to the park, to meet the beauties of autumn. It was a wonderful way to put into practice the work done on the knowledge of trees and leaves.
Between observing nature, identifying leaves, sensory activities, and artistic creations outdoors, participants were able to experiment freely and develop their curiosity, language, fine motor skills, and connection to nature. Autumn invites us to simplicity, creativity, spontaneity, and wonderâall values that we celebrated together.
đą An Unexpected Encounter
To welcome the arrival of autumn, participants came dressed in the colours of the season and met two turtles.
This moment of observation and tenderness allowed everyone to learn more about these animals: their shell, their diet, their slow and curious movements… They even painted their portraits!
Beyond discovery, this encounter was an opportunity to strengthen the connection to living things, to awaken curiosity and respect for the animal and plant world. Observing, listening, taking care: all simple gestures that nurture sensitivity and attention to the nature around us!
Enjoy the rest of the season, everyone!
We look forward to seeing you next month for the continuation of our adventures!
