A great start to the school year, full of energy!
The school year has started in the best possible way, with a positive atmosphere and students delighted to be back at school. Newcomers are gradually finding their feet, supported by the older children who demonstrate great kindness and mutual help. We are proud to observe their rapid gain in autonomy, particularly in being able to enter school by themselves in the morning.
Learning and Creative Time
The rhythm of our days is well-established, alternating between quiet times, discussions, focused work, and varied activities. The Reggio-style creative workshops have started successfully: painting, modeling, collage… ideas are flowing, and the children’s engagement is complete.
As part of our theme on self-discovery, we have explored the body (naming parts, drawing silhouettes, handprints) and emotions (recognizing, naming them, and understanding the needs behind them). This is vital work for personal development and group life. Extensive play with modeling clay has helped develop fine motor skills and allowed children to represent the body and faces expressing different emotions.
Sports and Excursions
Physical activities have resumed with exercises focusing on motor skills, gymnastics, stretching, and obstacle courses, along with various group games.
A first outdoor excursion took place on a beautiful sunny day. The children who do not take a nap enjoyed a moment of fun and play outside.
